In Feb 2014, I took my first trip to Norway’s Lofoten archipelago. We were there to shoot snowy landscapes during the day and the northern lights at night. My whole group was a bit disillusioned that it was overcast every night of our trip, but then on the last night Mother Nature suddenly cleared out all the clouds and treated us to an incredible northern lights show. We were so captivated by this incredible 6-hour display that we almost didn’t get back in time to catch the ferry back to the mainland. To be honest, I wouldn’t have been terribly upset to miss the ferry and spend another day or two there. Luckily I got to go back a few months ago and am currently planning my third Lofoten trip for Feb 2017. Yeah, I’m hooked….
