Lærdal, Norway by Stabbur’s Master Old Lærdal (Lærdalsöyri) is one of the best preserved wooden villages in Norway. The village consists of 161 wooden buildings and looks much as it did in the 19th century.

It is not a museum, but is an active village where people live and work.

The village lies on Lærdalsfjorden, an arm of the Sognefjord or Sognefjorden, the largest and most well known fjord in Norway (also the longest in the world).
